There are a ton of places all over the world that you can visit, many of which you have probably never heard of or considered going to.   1. Iceland – Don’t let the name scare you off. There are some truly amazing sites that you can see in Iceland, and it will make for an unforgettable trip. While in Iceland you can see the Northern Lights, the amazing lights in the sky that come as a result of solar flares, spend some time in the hot springs, or visit the Ice Hotel. There are some truly amazing resorts and hotels in Iceland, so you don’t have to leave too many of the comforts of home behind. Best of all, if you live in the US, there are now flights going to Iceland for around $100. For that price, you can’t beat the trip you will get out of it.
  2. United Arab Emirates – The United Arab Emirates, or UAE, is a collection of smaller states located in the Middle East. While we hear on the news all the time about the terrible things happening in the Middle East, the UAE has remained largely untouched. In this area you will find the Palm Islands, the world’s largest man-made islands that are covered in resorts, and one of the best places to go if you are looking to spend time near the ocean. They make a beautiful vacation spot for anyone looking for a unique place to relax.   3. Flam Valley, Norway – When you are thinking of places to travel, Norway probably isn’t a name  that comes to mind. However if you are looking for a relaxing retreat surrounded by lush green acres and beautiful hills and valleys, you should really look into Flam. This area is relatively untouched by modern civilization, and will make a memorable trip for anyone who goes there.
  4. Glass Beach, California – Lastly, if you want a unique place to go, but don’t want to travel too far, there is the Glass Beach in California. This beach was once a waste site, but now the ocean coughs up beautiful glass stones made from the garbage. It is beautiful to behold what can come from trash, and the surrounding areas offer plenty to do. If you are on a budget and want to stay closer to home, this is a pretty good option to consider.
